Phiona is a seasoned legal professional with a distinguished academic background and extensive experience in corporate and commercial law. She obtained an LLB from the University of Rwanda, where she honed her legal skills and developed a deep understanding of legal principles. In addition, Phiona earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice & Development (ILPD), solidifying her expertise in practical legal matters. 


Phiona is an active member of both the Rwanda Bar Association and the East African Law Society. She focuses on corporate and commercial law and has excelled in various roles, engaging daily in high-profile transactions and undertakings. With more than one string to her bow, Phiona has an extensive background in litigation and ADR: she has successfully represented a diverse range of clients in legal proceedings, from commercial matters to criminal, as well as labor and insolvency. She demonstrates her ability to navigate complex legal disputes with precision and skill.

Her experience in drafting legal documents and conducting thorough legal research has proven invaluable in crafting effective legal strategies and providing sound legal advice to clients. She offers valuable advice and provides practical and effective solutions to clients daily, using both Kinyarwanda and English, in which she has excellent command.
